The Tozhu. Demographic: Population Dynamic, Urban/Rural Population, Gender and Age Breakdown

According to the results of the All-Russian Population Census of 2010, the number of Tuvinians-Todzha was 1,858 people , and according to the 2020 census - 7,278 people. Tuvans-Todzha live compactly in the Todzha kozhuun of the Republic of Tyva.

As of September 1, 2022, according to the Federal State Statistics Service, the permanent resident population of the Tozhu district of the Republic of Tyva was 6649 persons, of which 2891 were men (43.48%) and 3758 women (56.52%).

The level of education of the residents of the Tozhu district of the Republic of Tyva is as follows: 17.2% (1144 persons) have higher education, 2.2% (146 persons) have incomplete higher education, 33.7% (2241 persons) have secondary vocational education. Around 15 % hold a high school diploma (1011 persons), 9.3 % completed 9 years of school education, 11.5% (765 persons) completed 5 years, 1.3% (86 persons) remain formally uneducated, and the illiterate group constitutes 0.5% (33 persons). The number of the employed in the Tozhu district was 3963 persons (59.6%), 1928 persons (29%) were pensioners, and 386 persons (5.8%) were officially registered as unemployed.
